International News: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is lodged in Pakistan's jail, has seriously accused Army Chief General Aseem Munir of doing politics of vengeance. Imran Khan says that General Munir also started targeting his wife, Bushra Bibi, with a private revenge spirit after he was removed from the post of ISI chief.
Imran Khan said in a statement from jail, "When I removed General Aseem Munir from the post of Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), he tried to contact my wife through mediators to discuss the matter." According to Khan, Bushra Bibi refused to meet and said that he has nothing to do with such cases.
Imran Khan claimed that his wife's 14-month arrest and alleged inhuman behavior in jail is the anti-counterpart of General Munir. He said, "The way a housewife was targeted in a private rivalry is unprecedented. Bushra Bibi was accused of 'aid and provocation,' in support of which no concrete evidence has been presented to date. She was repeatedly arrested in false cases."
Imran Khan said that his wife, Bushra Bibi, is a normal housewife and has no relation with politics. Despite this, he is being given mental and physical torture under false allegations. Khan also said that he has not been allowed to meet his wife for the last four weeks.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan described the attacks on military bases on May 9, 2023, as part of the 'London Plan'. He says that the real purpose of this scheme was to eliminate Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Imran Khan alleged that this was a well-planned conspiracy, under which hundreds of leaders and workers of his party were arrested illegally. He said that through this scheme, the democratic rights of the country were put on hold and corrupt leaders like Sharif and Zardari were brought back to power.
